Paper flowers...

Had a bit of a happy accident with paper strips a couple of days ago. I was trying to create one of those store-bought gift bows, and ended up with this flower-like thing! Have just finished making five of them, plus a flower pot for my daughter's bedroom. You could use whatever paper you like!
A nice way to brighten a little girl's wall for next to no cost. :) You will need: decorative/scrapbooking papers, glue, large punch, brown/green cardstock, foam mounting tape.
Instructions: 1. For each flower cut 6 strips of paper approx 30 x 2cm. 2. Loop over as shown. 3. Cut a 5cm square of scrap card, and glue the ends of the loops to the square as shown. 4. Glue a large flower or circle shape to the centre. 5. Take an A4 piece of brown cardstock. Mark points 3cm in from the bottom corners, and 20cm up each side. draw a pencil line between these points, and trim. Trim a 3cm width from the top, and discard. Trim another 4cm width and adhere this overlapping the remainder of the card, with two layers of foam mounting tape, for dimension. 6. Cut 1cm strips of green cardstock, in various lenghts for the stems. 7. Put up on the wall with blu-tak. I'd love your comments! :)
